How to Measure Your Hand for the Perfect Glove Fit
Finding the right glove size is essential for comfort and functionality. Here's a simple guide to measure your hand correctly:
- Hand Circumference:
- Lay your dominant hand flat, palm up, without stretching your fingers.
- Use a flexible tape measure.
- Place the tape measure around the fullest part of your hand, just below the knuckles, excluding the thumb—this is your 'hand circumference'.
- Wrap the tape measure from the crook of the thumb around the outer edge of the palm.
- Hand Length:
- Measure from the tip of your longest finger to the base of your palm, right where the wrist begins—this is your 'hand length'.
- Keep the measure straight and snug, not tight.
- Sizing Chart:
- Refer to the glove sizing chart. Match your measurements to the closest size. If your measurements are between sizes, choose the larger size.
- Note that sizing may vary slightly from style to style, depending on the insulation level of the gloves.
Size Ranges:
- Small: For a 'Cycle Length' (hand circumference) of 7.5"-8" (19.5-20.5CM) and 'Length' of 7.5"-8" (19.5-20.5CM).
- Medium: If you measure a 'Cycle Length' of 8.5" (21-22CM) and 'Length' of 8"-8.3" (20.5-21CM).
- Large: A 'Cycle Length' of 9"-9.5" (22.5-24CM) and 'Length' of 8.3"-8.6" (21-21.5CM).
- X-Large: For those with a 'Cycle Length' of 10"-10.5" (24.5-26CM) and 'Length' of 8.3"-8.6" (21-21.5CM).
Tips:
- Do not tighten the tape measure too much; it should sit comfortably around your hand.
- If you're right-handed, measure your right hand. If you're left-handed, measure your left hand.
- For the most accurate results, have someone help you with the measuring.
By following these steps, you can easily determine your glove size and ensure your next pair of gloves will fit just right, providing the maximum comfort and protection against the elements.

Living just outside of Denver, I'm out walking my two big dogs every morning, rain or shine. They're both strong, pulling over 80 pounds each, so I'm always on leash duty—no hands in pockets for warmth! I've been using these heated gloves for a few months now. I usually get about three walks out of a single charge, which isn't too bad, but I did go ahead and pick up an extra set of batteries. Trust me, when it's 25 degrees out, you don't want to find out halfway through your walk that your gloves have died.
I got the medium size since my hands aren't very big, and they fit pretty tight. Most days, the insulation alone is enough for the first part of the walk without even turning the heat on, which is nice. The battery packs, positioned at the wrists, do take some getting used to; they can feel a bit awkward, especially when trying to manage two leashes.
Cleaning them hasn't been on my agenda yet, so I'm hoping that when the time comes, it won't be a hassle. All in all, these gloves are a solid choice, though I do wish the battery life was a bit longer to avoid the mid-walk chill.
In December 2023, after using the same brand's fingered gloves, I decided to give these heated gloves a try, since I needed more dexterous gloves to operate my snowblower. This morning, we were hit with a 15-degree chill, giving them their first real test.
I had fully charged the batteries overnight, and I'm thrilled to report that the gloves did not disappoint! The heat distribution was superb—I felt comfortable and warm even on the low setting. When I cranked it up to high, all of my fingers, including the ring and pinky, stayed toasty throughout our two-mile walk in the morning.
It was so impressive that I completely forgot about the cold during the 45 minutes I was outside. These gloves not only met but exceeded my expectations, especially compared to my previous pair. They are exactly what I need for handling precise tasks on cold days.
If you're looking for a pair of gloves that can withstand the cold while offering functionality, I highly recommend these. They combine the warmth of mittens with the flexibility of gloves, making them perfect for winter activities in chilly places like Maine!
I went with the XXL size because the XL gloves I normally wear are a little tight onmy fingers. Although these gloves are a little loose to wear, they don't prevent me from controlling the bike, so I'm pretty happy with that aspect.
However, I was a little concerned about the materials used. The gloves feel a little too light for motorcycle gear, like theclothes you wear when skiing. The fingers and palms are madeof leather, which doesn't inspire confidence for heavy duty use. So far they're working, but I'm curious to see how they'll perform over time.
So far I've only tested them in temperatures around 36-38 degrees Fahrenheit, and I've hadto turn the heat up as high as it will go to keep the chill off. They don't get too hot, but enough to keep me comfortable while riding, especially since my bike grips are heated. However, when I'm standing still at a stoplight or in traffic, I notice a little chill seeping out of my fingertips.
I was also concerned about the waterproofness of the gloves. Given their lightweight construction, I'm skeptical abouttheir ability to withstand wet conditions, which is a real possibility in my area. I haven't had a chance to test them in therain yet, but I'll keep an eye out.
Overall, these gloves do a prettygood job of keeping the cold outon short commutes
Just got back from a snowy adventure with these gloves. They performed flawlessly—keenly felt the warmth without any bulk. Ottawa Nights for the win!
